Diary of a Mad Old Man (Japanese: 瘋癲老人日記, Hepburn: Fūten rōjin nikki) is a 1961 novel by Japanese author Jun'ichirō Tanizaki (1886–1965). Written and published shortly before the author’s death in 1965, it is recognized as an important late work.
